Red Drum (Redfish)

Year-Round (Peak Fall Bull Red Run)

Sight-cast grass flats and marsh oyster bars with live shrimp under popping corks or paddle-tail swimbaits.

Striped Bass / Wiper

Spring & Late Fall / Winter

Troll deep diving plugs along main lake river channels or cast bucktail jigs into surface boils at dawn.

Fish deep river channels, creek mouths, and tailwaters after dark with cut shad, chicken liver, and stinkbait.

Best Times & Conditions

Dawn (5:30 AM – 9:00 AM) and Dusk (6:00 PM – Sunset). Peak feeding occurs during low-light conditions and moving tidal or river currents.

Spring spawn and fall transitions are prime for Red Drum (Redfish) and Striped Bass / Wiper. Summer night fishing is popular for catfish and walleye.
